To nominate a stallion for the ASBA program, please make a separate post in this forum for each individual stallion including the following information:
GUIDELINES
Nomination Requirements:
1) Horse MUST be a stallion of breeding age.
2) All breeds are accepted.
3) Colts/Stallions with a ASBA championship title are automatically eligible for nomination in the auction, even if the owner's quota is already fulfilled. When you post your stallion's nomination, please be sure to include the championship title and the year it was earned in the nomination thread at the bottom.
4) If you have certain conditions surrounding the progeny of your stallions, please be sure to include that in your stallion's post. Please keep your wording short and simple. Also, please remember that this is a very special auction and show, so you might consider less stringent conditions if you do have them. The ASBA wants to respect stallion owner preferences, but also provide leniency to the prospective bidder, given the differences of aging, etc. in games/All-Sim. Nominating your stallion is a signed agreement to the ASBA terms, and bidding upon a stallion is a signed agreement to the stallion owner's conditions.
5) You are allowed to pull a stallion from nomination if you wish, after the auction has closed and breedings have been awarded/claimed. Some owners prefer to do this to make their stallions breedings more rare and coveted, and perform revolving nominations so that each year their stable has different stallions representing them.
Nominations are limited to FOUR stallions per owner the first year of the program (2012). The reason for this is there are A LOT of owners participating...there will be many, many stallions to choose from. Pick your best boys! This may be subject to change.
Nomination Payment:
1) The colt/stallion won a class at any previous year's ASBA show. This type of nomination is FREE.
2) The horse's sire is a currently nominated stallion. This type of nomination costs $2,000.
3) The horse was formerly nominated, but did not receive any bids in its last auction. Please view the ASBA section on the ASBA's sub-board for a list of Formerly Nominated Stallions. This type of nomination is $2,500.
ALL PROCEEDS OF NOMINATIONS GO TO THE ASBA'S CHAMPIONSHIP PURSES.
Please post a check in the designated thread at the main board of the ASBA program.
