1. There are no restrictions on the number of breedings you may bid on, however, please use common sense and realize that it is not necessary to bid on tons of breedings - leave some for others.
2. All bidding starts at $500. Simply post under the stallion's topic you wish to bid on.
3. Bidding should be raised in increments of $100 or more.
4. You must bid OVER the starting bid, or bid thereafter.
5. Breedings left unsold at the end of the auction may be purchased back by the owner of the stallion or made available for straight sale.
6. Any stallion with one year of no bids will be removed from the Blood Horse Breeding Auction. Many owners choose to bid upon their own stallions to keep their nomination current. This is allowed.
7. Please ensure you peruse the stallion owner's contract before bidding, to use the breeding you must agree to it.
8. You must submit to the ASBA your foal's name, dam, sire, gender, and year of birth in the appropriate thread prior to the ASBA show, or your breeding for a nominated foal will be considered void. Resulting foals MUST be nominated in this program to compete in the show!
9. You may age your foal, but please observe a stallion owner's wishes regarding aging in relation to the stallion's age. It is understood that many sim players observe different aging systems.
10. You MAY save breedings up to TWO YEARS after their purchase date. So if you purchased a breeding in 2012, you must use that breeding in 2012, 2013, or 2014, otherwise the breeding is void.
11. Stallion owners may bid on their own breedings, however we encourage you to leave plenty for others.
12. Checks must be posted by the date indicated below, and if the breeding is unpaid for by that point it will be sold to the next highest bidder.
13. You are allowed to sell breedings to other members within TWO YEARS if you decide not to use it. However, the sale price cannot exceed the original auction purchase price.
14. MARE OWNERS - please be considerate of stallion owners and contact the owner soon after the foal is born. Most stallion owners like to keep track of progeny and it would be helpful if you contacted them with the foal info.
Bidding will end at 11 PM Central Time on July 10, 2012.
Checks must be posted within two weeks after the date of the auction's end on the designated payment thread on the main ASBA board or you forfeit your stallion service winnings to the next highest bidder.
