What is MatchMaker?
A fun way to obtain something that you have been looking for! This could be a mare with specifics for your special stallion, a breeding to an outstanding stallion for your lovely lady, a custom-bred foal to fill in a hole in your herd, a mature and already trained horse for your show string, let your imagination run with it!
HF welcomes All-Sim participation as well! We would love to see everyone enjoying the celebration. Please keep this in mind when posting or making your offer. It is important to include specification regarding this.
What to post...
- A new post must be made for EACH ad.
- The Subject Line of each ad MUST include what you are looking for, preferably stating specifics! This is important so that it's easier for others to fulfill your request without getting overwhelmed. For example, it might looking like:
Wanted: Sport Type Russian Arabian Stud Service
OR
Looking: 2y/o Buckskin Thoroughbred Mare Ready To Race
etc.
In the body of the post, you can certainly be creative, and even funny! The basics that MUST be included are:
- In the case of breeding ad:
Introduce your mare/stallion, and be sure to basic stats, discipline, link to page, and a photo if applicable. You can also include progeny stats, etc. whatever you want but be sure you have the basics. Then outline the specifics on what kind of stallion/mare you are asking to pair with your horse.
- In the case of a horse, etc. ad:
Outline the specifics on what kind of horse, service, etc. you are looking for, including ideal stats (age, height, gender, etc.), discipline, and bloodlines. Be sure to include YOUR plans for the horse, and whether you wish the horse to be contract/condition free AND if it will remain in HF or All-Sim.
What to respond...
Be sure to read the ad thoroughly, and that you actually have something that fits the member's needs. If you do, then you can respond with all relevant information. If a contract applies, be sure to post that as well.
How to finalize it...
- If you are the original poster and you accept what someone has offered, great! Be sure that you have read any contracts that may apply to the horse/breeding, AND you agree with them. Be sure to post and let them know AND be sure to EDIT your original post's subject line with "FULFILLED" so everyone knows that want ad is finished.
- If you decline, please be sure to post and let the offering person know you have declined. You may choose to utilize PM in this case, but either way please let them know.
- If you receive multiple offers, then you have a decision to make! Either way, follow the above outlined processes.
