From page:
The Stallion: Porkypants CH represents a cross that we would not normally have put together. In fact, we didn't - nature finds a way, and as it so happens a tree branch fell on the fencing of Rocky Raccoon's far end of his turnout pasture during the night. Once out of his tall stallion paddock, finding the mare pasture was easy for him and being a top-level jumper made his vacation with the mares even easier. Shaheen was in the right place at the right time, and since they took a liking to each other we now have Porkypants. I'm sure you're wondering how he managed to get that flattering name - on top of having an insanely curious and inquisitive personality with an apparent sense of humor, he also LOVES TO EAT. As a foal, he ate everything in sight. Usually the mare needs to be limited from the foal's feed with a creep feeder, but we had the opposite problem with Porkypants and Shaheen. Gary quickly coined the colt a little Porkypants because of his voracious appetite, and the name just stuck. We intend to aim Porkypants to the race track to see if he is indeed his father's son, and if not he will most likely be gelded for a hunter under saddle career as he is a fancy moving specimen, compliments of his saddleseat dam, with plenty of power and big stride, compliments of his sire.
The Lineage: Porkypants CH is by none other than one of the greatest Arabian racehorses and racehorse sire to walk HF, HOF Rocky Raccoon DS++++/. A stallion with nearly 20 graded stakes wins, four HFAJC Awards including 2007 AJC HORSE OF THE YEAR, and the distinction of being the first Arabian racehorse in HF to earn over $1million, he has more than proven himself as a competitor. To top it off, his first year in the show ring after his track retirement he took three National chamionships and one reserve! As a sire, he has gone above and beyond expectations - he is one of only two stallions in HF to have winners in the Triple Crown/Tiara/Turf Crown races, AJC Championship Series, and Blood Horse Venture Cup, and has also sired the 2014 AJC Triple Crown winner Magnar R, and fifteen stakes race winning/12 AJC year end award winning and TWICE Reserve Horse of the Year MYL Radiant Pearl++++, and has been on the AJC Top Sire list three years in a row (2015-2017 so far), being ranked #1 Sire in 2016. Porkypants CH is out of the lovely saddleseat mare HOF Shaheen CH++++/, daughter of our late, amazing grand matriach and gorgeous hunter Donatella WMA. Shaheen was a successful and consistent competitor in English Pleasure, earning three performance National Championships under saddle and in harness (2007, 2014, 2014) and a Breeder's Cup World Championship in halter in 2012 as well. Shaheen's sire was short-lived in HF, but he made a mark in the time he was here as a performance horse and sire. He was also full brother to U.S. Reserve National Champion Senior Stallion *Ganges.
