Snowcrest Ridge in Wish Horse circa 2004 owned by Lexi
Last Updated February 18th, 2004
Snowcrest Ridge has been breeding top quality Thoroughbred racehorses for over seven years. We have survived numerous name changes and relocations all throughout the country, including our most recent move to Lexington, Kentucky. We are based in the simulation world of Wish Horse.
While you're here, be sure to take a look around at our breeding stock, as they are the base of our breeding operation and are carefully chosen for some of the best racing and steeplechasing bloodlines available. We stand a number of quality studs, and almost always have Thoroughbred racehorses and breeding stock for sale.
In addition to our Thoroughbred racing stock, we have begun breeding hunter/equitation horses more extensively. We also have a fine selection of Arabians, Knabstruppers, Appaloosas, Hanoverians, Gypsy Vanners and Australian Riding Ponies.
For 2004, we have opened our doors to the public, accepting boarders for the first time in Wish Horse! This is a prime opportunity to board your horse with one of the top racing and showing stables in WH.
We offer a variety of plans to suit your horse's every need, and if you don't like the ones we have set out for you, all are fully modifiable. We also offer discount boarding for those who board more than 15 horses with us.
In 2003 and 2002, our racing teams were amazing, accumulating combined earnings of over $15,000,000! We also took home five Eclipse Awards in 2002, and four in 2003. We couldn't be happier with our racers. Be sure to give them a visit while you're here!
In addition to our highly-successful Thoroughbred racing operation, we have branched out into stock horse and Arabian racing, steeplechasing and english showing, with a focus on hunter/equitation. Our current breed focal points outside of Thoroughbreds are Knabstruppers and Arabians. We also hope to help expand interest and numbers in stock horse racing, Arabian racing and steeplechasing with our breeding program.
Whether you're looking for a racehorse, showhorse, stable to board at or a stallion to breed to, Snowcrest Ridge is sure to hold something of interest for you. Be sure to check out our sales list, as we always have horses for sale. Thanks for visiting!

Here at Snowcrest Ridge, we have several different breeding programs - Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Knabstruppers and Australian Riding Ponies. We also occasionally breed foals of other breeds in small numbers.
All of our foals are imprinted at a very early age, and are handled a few hours after birth to accustom them to humans. Before yearlings are sold, they all undergo a thorough training program for young horses. They are first taught to lead calmly and patiently, keeping their head even with their handlers shoulder and showing respect for their human counterpart. We try to get them used to all sorts of strange things so they'll be less likely to spook later in life - often leading them out into fields with blowing leaves or where they can observe a noisy tractor in a nearby pasture.
Once they lead and begin to develop good manners, we work with them on standing still while being tacked up and groomed - ranging from ground-tying to sacking out. Once we're sure the horse stands safely without causing risk to humans, we accustom them to wearing a bit, bridle, blinders, shadow roll, leg wraps, and a saddle. All horses are also trained to bathe, clip, and load, and two-year-olds are broken to saddle before being offered for sale. We believe in resistance-free training, and never progress to a higher step before the horse is ready. Our records and schedules all conform to individual horses.
Most of our stallions are available for outside breeding as well, so if you're interested in breeding to one of them, please refer to stud service information. Also, be sure to check out our broodmare band so you can get to know the quality mares who produce our foals.
Thoroughbreds
Snowcrest Ridge has been proving time and again in the racing industry that we are one of the leaders in producing stakes winners, classic winners and Eclipse Award winners. In the past two years, our breeding program proudced outstanding horses such as the following:
Seven Eclipse Award winners - Can't Fight The Moonlight (2002 Champion Juvenile Filly), Merlyn Cant Danze (2002 Champion Juvenile Colt), Robin Hood (2002 Champion Turf Male), Murderous Ares (2003 Champion Juvenile Colt), Aqua Rhapsody (2003 Champion 3 y/o Turf Filly), Jang-O-Fett (2003 Champion 3 y/o Turf Colt) & Cry of the Celts (2003 Champion Steeplechasing Male).
We bred the winners of the 2003 Kentucky Derby (Eyes Wide Shut), 2003 Preakness Stakes (Moonslew), 2003 2,000 Guineas (Jang-O-Fett) & 2003 Breeder's Cup Steeplechase (Cry of the Celts). In addition, we bred eleven of the twenty-four placers in 2003's Triple Crown, Triple Tiara & International Triple Crown races.
In 2002 stakes races, SR-breds took home 42 wins, 33 seconds, 33 thirds and 30 fourths.
We strive to produce all the traits desired in racehorses and steeplechasers, though some of our foals go on to become successful show horses as well. Speed is in their blood, and day-old foals are frequently seen cavorting about our lage mare and foal paddocks like lanky teenagers. We currently stand a quality group of Thoroughbred studs.
Arabians
We have long been a part of the Arabian showing industry, and this year have decided to focus on breeding pure Polish and Polish-bred Arabians. We stand two quality Polish stallions, both from the famous *Witez II line, Nitez and Fredo. We have mostly Polish broodmares, with some domestic and Egyptian blood as well for variety. Our Arabians are constantly improving in both the show ring and racetrack.
In the 2002 All Nations' Cup, we took home the Breeder's Cup award due to the quality of our Arabian homebreds, and were a runner up for the Owner's Cup. One of our Polish mares, Caspian Dream, was also awarded the Most Influential Arabian Mare award in the All In The Family show.
In 2003, our colt Galileo won the Champion 4 y/o Colt Arabian Racing Award.
Knabstruppers
Our Knabstrupper breeding stock is constantly improving. Some of their biggest accomplishments are:
By of June of 2004, our Knabstruppers had earned almost 5,000 points collectively.
In the WHHEA 2003 Awards, our stallion Aabstract Art won the Schooling Hunter High Point and one of our fillies, Delicious, won the Hunter Breeding Yearlings Reserve High Point.
Evening Star Farms circa 2003 in Wish Horse owned by Tyena
Welcome to Evening Star, a dedicated breeding and showing farm located in the picturesque valley near Salzburg Austria. The property was purchased late in 2001, one of the loveliest pieces of real estate in the area. It has since been transformed into a stunningly beautiful, completely up-to-date, Arabian horse farm. The farm is host to some of the world's finest horses and is focused on breeding horses that not only make great friends and partnerships, but are also amazing performance horses as well.
It's our goal to keep on doing the things we love most; breeding, showing and marketing. We love our horses and enjoy being part of the game. Why else be in it? We welcome visitors to our farm and are happy to answer any questions you may have about our horses, farm or Wish Horse in general - so when you're in the area give us a ring and drop by.
